The Samsonas Motorsport-Type race shifter is a replacement for the OE shift assembly for nearly any manual transmission BMW in the past 25 years.

Here is a product many have tried to produce, but have failed to offer: a kit that accommodates all 5 and 6 speed Getrag and ZF transmissions with superb quality and a very competitive price!

Offering a short throw travel and confident gear-engagement, precise feel is offered even under the stresses of road, race or rally use. These lever kits offer optimal race style ergonomics: the shifter is in a natural location for race driving and closer to the steering wheel so the time spend moving your hand from the wheel to the shifter- and back is reduced. Reverse gear is locked out via a cable-trigger from lower portion of the shifter so accidental engagement of your reverse gear isn't possible while.
Below the shifter, the gearbox system and linkage remains in its original form so minimal adjustments are required for installation.

Installation Notes:
Since this is a race product, its intended for the environment of a race car (Street cars that can tolerate increased vibration and noise may also use this shifter). As a universal race component, professional install and adjustment are recommended.
